LENAH FLAIG (she/her) is a freelance performer and choreographer based in Cologne, Germany.

After her dance training at »Idyllwild Arts Academy« (USA), she studied stage dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts and graduated in 2012.

As a performer she collaborates with various choreographers and collectives, was part of the Ben J. Riepe Company from 2012 to 2017 as well as the Ensemble VA Wölfl/Neuer Tanz. She performed in works of Hartmannmueller, Reut Shemesh, Diphthong among others and was part of the latest work of Angie Hiesl and Roland Kaiser. She has been two times nominated to the Performing Arts Award of the City of Dusseldorf in 2019 and 2020 (Förderpreis Darstellende Kunst).

With her long time friend and colleague Josefine Patzelt she founded the collective flies&tales in 2016. They created four productions until now which were presented in Cologne, Gießen and Krefeld: »One must still know how to disappear«, »None of us«, »expecting light« as well as »CLUB OF SWEET LIES« in co-operation with Eric Eggert (live composition) and Garlef Keßler (light design).

Since September 2020 together with Nadine Kiala she is curating and managing the art space Kunsthafen in Cologne which is also part of the network AIC (Art Initiatives Cologne).

Creating her own pieces, she works at the interface of fine art, music, dance and performance. Her latest work 60:60 was developed with the visual artist Robin von Gestern and was seen as a performative exhibition and installation.

Her works were performed and exhibited in tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf, Tanzfaktur Köln, Barnes Crossing Köln, Kunsthafen Köln, Stadttheater Gießen, Folkwang Museum Essen, and Fabrik Heeder Krefeld.
